In Uganda we partner with TEAR Fund at Watoto Village, home of the world famous Watoto Children's Choir. At Watoto Village, an orphan joins a family of 7 sibilings and a mother, receiving love, education and vital health care.
During our January 2011 visit we will be volunteering at Baby Watoto as well as particpating in other Watoto Village activities. There is also the opportunity to visit local Tear Fund Compassion projects in Uganda.
Optional and highly recommended activities (additional cost) include a wildlife safari, white water rafting on the Nile, and fishing expeditions.

* Trip cost includes accomodation in Uganda in a guesthouse sharing a room with another person, ground transportation while in Uganda, most meals, NZ$1,000 per person babies home contribution (paid to Tear Fund NZ), stopover accommodation (Dubai) sharing a room with another person. Single rooms available at additional cost. Note - under current NZ tax law, NZ Tax residents may recieve up to a third of the $1,000 babies home contribution back as a tax deduction.
