2009 Mexico Trip Diary

Meet Ana, Marco and Sophia

Ana & Marco are one of the many families in Mexico struggling to make ends meet.  Not able to live with their parents or extended families due to overcrowding, they built themselves a 6 foot by 9 foot shack made out of old pallets and pieces of tarpaulin.  They often go hungry because there is simply not enough money to buy food.

Little Sophia stole our hearts!

Having Fun is a big part of a Break Free Expedition - and we sure had lots of that!

Here's Matt at a local orphanage modelling one of the beanies a 90 year NZ lady had knitted for the children.

But the most rewarding moment is the house dedication day and community fiesta!

Building Homes in Mexico is a life changing experience!
